ISB Main Library: Author Visit

Lisa Graff will be visiting ISB Middle School on the following dates:

Lisa Graff

 

 Ms. Graff new up in Big Bear, California, a ski resort town.  Her favorites subjects   were math and science and thought she wanted to be a doctor.  She wrote a lot as   a child and continued through high school and college for fun.  While she was   studying abroad in Italy during her junior year at college she was asked ttranslatea children's novel she had written.  Not only did it help her improve her Italian skills but she realized she really loved to write.  After graduating from UCLA, she went to New York, where she began classes at The New School to earn her MFA in Creative Writing for Children.  

After earning her degree she worked for 5 years as an associate editor at Farrar, Straus & Giroux Books for Young Readers.  She now lives in Pennsylvania and writes full-time.  Ms. Graff has written numerous books for children include novels for teenagers under her Pseudonym, Isla Neal.
